I have always enjoyed working with children so I consider hosting the family hour a true privilege and an amazing opportunity to encourage families to develop a relationship with Jesus. I love music and when my oldest was born, I made the conscious effort to listen to songs that would strengthen his character and relationship with God. My absolute favorite thing is to hear my kids singing praise music in the car, an ongoing form of worship in my family’s busy day. I started listening to the Promise FM and ended up hosting a few years later.
My full-time job is as a special education teacher however; my biggest joy in life is as a wife and mother to my supportive husband and four fabulous children; two boys and two girls. When I am not on the air or at school, you will likely find me watching a ball game, dance recital, play or activity. I love being a Mom!
I came across Hebrews 10:24 when I was praying over how to touch the kids that I work with at school and it sits at my desk and is on my phone as a reminder and prayer that every action I take should be an encouragement to my friends, my families and my students. I love how it reads in The Message….
So let’s do it – full of belief, confident that we are presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps His word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshipping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big day approaching!
